Treatment of leg infection  :

The treatment is being decided according to the cause of your symptoms after doing investigations and medical examination and determining  the cause and then the diagnosis and treatment are decided by the doctor .
The treatment also includes pain killers containing Paracetamol, non-steroidal anti inflammatory like Ibuprofen, anti inflammatory drugs containing Chymotrypsin  and antibiotics containing amoxicillin or Ceftriaxone, in addition to the possibility of surgical treatment .

Diagnosis of leg infection :

The diagnosis is made by taking full history and clinical examination of the patient and doing investigations including blood investigations like CBC, inflammatory and infection marks ESR and CRP, culture for leg discharge and HbA1C, random and fasting blood glucose levels .

Symptoms of leg infection  :

- Redness 

- hotness 

- oedema

- pain

- pus

- loss of movement 

- Discharge 

- decreases range of movement
