Treatment of Vaginal bleeding :

The treatment is being decided according to the cause of your symptoms after doing investigations and medical examination and determining  the cause and then the diagnosis and treatment are decided by the doctor .
The treatment also includes non-steroidal anti inflammatory like Ibuprofen and drugs that help to stop bleeding containing Tranexamic acid and hormonal therapy like combined contraceptive pills .
In case of bacterial infection, the treatment includes systemic antibiotics containing Ceftriaxone and local antibiotics containing Metronidazole .
In case of fungal infection, the treatment includes systemic and local anti fungal drugs containing Fluconazole or Miconazole .
In case of vaginal dryness, the treatment includes local creams and ointments containing estrogen .

Diagnosis of vaginal bleeding  :

The diagnosis is made by taking full history and clinical examination of the patient and doing investigations including blood investigations like CBC, inflammatory and infection marks ESR and CRP, random and fasting blood glucose levels and HbA1C level, tumor markers and doing pelvic and abdominal ultrasound .

Causes of vaginal bleeding  :

- bacterial infection

- fungal infection

- vaginitis 

- vaginal dryness 

- uterine and cervical cancer 

- Pelvic inflammatory disease 

- trauma

- sexually transmitted diseases 
- diabetes
