Treatment of Fever :

The treatment is being decided according to the cause of your symptoms after doing investigations and medical examination and determining  the cause and then the diagnosis and treatment are decided by the doctor .
The treatment also includes pain killers and antipyretic containing Paracetamol, non-steroidal anti inflammatory like Ibuprofen and anti inflammatory drugs containing Alpha amylase and antibiotics in case of bacterial infection that containing ampicillin and Sulbactam or Ceftriaxone or erythromycin .
In addition to the importance of applying cold compresses, sleep well, taking rest and drinking plenty of fluids .

Diagnosis of fever :

The diagnosis is made by taking full history and clinical examination of the patient and doing investigations including blood investigations like CBC, inflammatory and infection marks ESR and CRP, renal functions, liver functions, LDH, serum ferritin and D-dimer levels, urine analysis, urine culture, stool analysis, doing pelvic and abdominal ultrasound and xray and chest xray .

Causes of fever :

- bacterial infection

- viral infection

- pneumonia

- bronchiolitis

- sore throat 

- tonsillitis 

- Common cold 

- influenza 
- urinary tract infection 
- gastroenteritis 
- ear infection
