What is the appropriate treatment?
First of all, it's recommended to visit a neurologist to assess your condition, determine the cause as there are many causes for the symptoms you have and then treating them accordingly. To reduce the pain, pain relievers such as Diclofen 600 twice a day can be used. Furthermore, Neurovit supplement, in addition to the possibility of using amitriptyline medication can also be prescribed.
Diagnosis:
History taking as well as physical examination to be done by doctor. Complete blood test to rule out infection or anemia, vitamin B12 analysis, blood glucose level to rule out diabetes and CT-scan of the cervical vertebra can be done.
What are the possible causes?
1. Herniated disc of the cervical vertebrae
2. Thoracic outlet syndrome
3. Neuroinflammation
4. Tendonitis
5. Peripheral nerve retention
6. Vitamin deficiencies such as vitamin B12
7. Others
Recommendation:
It's recommended to visit the neurologist for further assessment and management.
