Treatment of the menstrual disturbance and delay :

The treatment is being decided according to the cause of your symptoms after doing investigations and medical examination and determining the cause and then the diagnosis and treatment are decided by the doctor .
In case of polycystic ovary disease, the treatment includes hormonal therapy .
In case of thyroid dysfunction, the treatment includes thyroid hormone replacement therapy .

Diagnosis of menstrual disturbance and delay :

The diagnosis is made by taking full history and clinical examination of the patient and doing investigations including blood investigations like CBC, inflammatory and infection marks ESR and CRP, thyroid functions, ovarian functions, levels of estrogen and progesterone and testosterone, pregnancy test in blood and urine and doing pelvic and abdominal ultrasound .

Causes of menstrual disturbance and delay :

- Pregnancy 

- Polycystic ovary syndrome 

- thyroid disfunction 

- stress 

- emotional disturbance 

- severe weight loss 

- obesity 

- exhaustion
