Treatment of the vaginal odor and dryness :

The treatment is being decided according to the cause of your symptoms after doing investigations and medical examination and determining the cause and then the diagnosis and treatment are decided by the doctor .
In case of bacterial infection, the treatment includes systemic and topical antibiotics .
in case of fungal infection, the treatment includes systemic and topical antifungal containing Fluconazole or Miconazole, in addition hormonal therapy like topical creams containing estrogen .

Diagnosis of vaginal odor and dryness :

The diagnosis is made by taking full history and clinical examination of the patient and doing investigations including blood investigations like CBC, inflammatory and infection marks ESR and CRP, urine analysis, urine culture, culture for vaginal discharge and doing pelvic and abdominal ultrasound .

Causes of vaginal odor and dryness :

- bacterial infection

- fungal infection

- pelvic inflammatory disease 

- vaginal inflammation 

- diabetes 

- bad hygiene 

- side effects of drugs like OCP
