scar removal or reduction
There are many ways to get rid of the scars ,either at home using some home remedies or using drugs and chemicals or using some techniques:
- Natural skin products :These products are beneficial for skin health and it wouldn’t harm the skin although they might not be that effective ,examples of these products are Aloe Vera , Olive oil ,Shea butter ,honey and lemon juice.
- Vitamin E: In plenty of cases vitamin E in which was used significant improvement in the appearance of scars was noted
- Rosehip oil: Little evidences are available to support use of Rosehip oil but daily application of the oil for 3 months showed improvement in many cases .
- Retinol creams : use to stimulate collagen in an area that is severely lacking
- Laser therapy : the use of high-energy light to reduce the appearance of scars, fractional CO2 laser resurfacing (CO2RE).
- Fillers: injection of hyaluronic acid or fat in the scars to fill the gaps and reshaping the affected area ,it should be used evert 6 months ,or using of Bellafill, which is a collagen-based filler injections into the scars
- Chemical peels: using of chemicals to break down the top and old layers of the skin by applying strong acid .
- Dermabrasion : using of a special brush to scrape away the top layers and deeper areas of the scar.
Our advice:
- Home remedies and skin products may help people who have mild scars, while medical treatments and techniques are available for more severe cases. However , you should consult the nearest dermatologist to asses the severity of the scars and choosing the appropriate therapy plan
