Treatment of the acne :

The treatment of acne includes pain killers containing Paracetamol, non-steroidal anti inflammatory like Ibuprofen, topical medications containing Retinoid, topical antibiotics containing erythromycin and penzoyl peroxide, topical drugs containing salicylic acid, systemic antibiotics containing erythromycin, hormonal therapy, in addition to the possibility of treatment with laser and steroid injection .

Diagnosis of acne :

The diagnosis is made by taking full history and clinical examination of the patient, examination of the skin and doing investigations including blood investigations like CBC, inflammatory and infection marks ESR and CRP .

Causes of acne :

- bacterial infection

- family history 

- genetic factors 

- environmental factors 

- inflammation of skin

- excessive production of sebum or oil

- hair follicles clogged by oil and dead skin cells
