How can l treat UTI?

Treatment of the urinary tract infection UTI :

The treatment is being decided according to the cause of your symptoms after doing investigations and medical examination and determining the cause and then the diagnosis and treatment are decided by the doctor .
The treatment includes pain killers containing Paracetamol, non-steroidal anti inflammatory like Ibuprofen and antibiotics in case of bacterial infection like Trimethoprime and Sulfamethoxazole or Nitrofurantoin .

Diagnosis of UTI :

The diagnosis is made by taking full history and clinical examination of the patient and doing investigations including blood investigations like CBC, inflammatory and infection marks ESR and CRP, kidney functions, urine analysis, urine culture and doing pelvic and abdominal x-ray and ultrasound .

Symptoms of UTI :

- urgency

- burning urination

- frequent urination

- pain during urination

- bloody urine

- feeling of the need to urinate despite having an empty bladder

- groin pain

- lower abdominal pain
