Treatment of the appendicitis and lower abdominal pain  :

The treatment is being decided according to the cause of your symptoms after doing investigations and medical examination and determining the cause and then the diagnosis and treatment are decided by the doctor .
The treatment also includes pain killers containing Paracetamol, non-steroidal anti inflammatory like Ibuprofen, anti inflammatory drugs containing Chymotrypsin and antibiotics in case of bacterial infection, in addition to the possibility of surgical treatment .

Diagnosis of appendicitis and lower abdominal pain  :

The diagnosis is made by taking full history and clinical examination of the patient and doing investigations including blood investigations like CBC, inflammatory and infection marks ESR and CRP, kidney and liver functions, level of pancreatic enzymes, urine analysis, urine culture and doing pelvic and abdominal ultrasound .

Symptoms of appendicitis :

- Right lower abdominal pain 

- vomiting 

- fever

- nausea

- loss of appetite 

- Pain around the umbilicus
