It's recommended to do blood test of pregnancy about 7 days after the expected date of menstruation to get the most reliable result .
Diagnosis of pregnancy :
The diagnosis of pregnancy is made by taking full history, clinical examination and doing investigations including blood test for pregnancy, the level of pregnancy hormone BHCG, the pregnancy test in urine and doing pelvic and abdominal ultrasound .
