Treatment of the menstrual delay :

The treatment is being decided according to the cause of your symptoms after doing investigations and medical examination and determining the cause and then the diagnosis and treatment are decided by the doctor .
Your symptoms may be consistent with menopause or may be because of pregnancy or may be bacause of pathological cause, the cause will be detected by the doctor and the treatment will be according to the that cause .

Diagnosis of menstrual delay :

The diagnosis is made by taking full history and clinical examination of the patient and doing investigations including blood investigations like CBC, inflammatory and infection marks ESR and CRP, thyroid functions, ovarian functions, levels of estrogen and progesterone and testosterone hormones, pregnancy test in blood and urine and doing pelvic and abdominal ultrasound .

Causes of menstrual delay :

- pregnancy 

- menopause 

- thyroid disfunction 

- polycystic ovarian syndrome 

- ovarian failure 

- stress 

- obesity 

- severe weight loss 

- exhaustion
