Treatment of skin itching :

The treatment is being decided according to the cause of your symptoms after doing investigations and medical examination and determining the cause and then the diagnosis and treatment are decided by the doctor .
The treatment includes pain killers containing Paracetamol, non-steroidal anti inflammatory like Ibuprofen, drugs containing corticosteroids and hydrocortisone, antihistaminics and antibiotics in case of bacterial infection .

Diagnosis of skin itching :

The diagnosis is made by taking full history and clinical examination of the patient and doing investigations including blood investigations like CBC, inflammatory and infection marks ESR and CRP, blood glucose level, thyroid functions, kidney functions and liver functions .

Causes of skin itching :

- bacterial infection

- fungal infection

- eczema 

- dehydration 

- kidney diseases

- liver diseases

- thyroid disfunction 

- Diabetes 
- side effects of some drugs
