Treatment of sheort stature
Short stature is one of the commonest complications among pediatric populations and it should be diagnosed and treated appropriately, in case of a short stature in a patient with reduced growth hromone and open bone growth plate as diagnosed by X Ray, the patient can be treated using growth hormone analougue. in addition to multivitamin tablets once daily. Consult an endocrinologist for further follow up
Diagnosis
to diagnose a short stature a proper physical exam should be done and assessment of CBC, Urea, Cr, Albumin, Total protein and growth hormone stimulation and early morning tests. in addition to TSH, F T4 . Wrist X Ray will confirm the bone age and the possipilty for further growth with treatment
