Treatment of menstrual delay :

The treatment is being decided according to the cause of your symptoms after doing investigations and medical examination and determining the cause and then the diagnosis and treatment are decided by the doctor .
The treatment in case of polycystic ovarian syndrome includes hormonal therapy like combined oral contraceptive pills and weight reduction and in case of thyroid disfunction the treatment includes thyroid hormone replacement therapy .

Diagnosis of menstrual delay :

The diagnosis is made by taking full history and clinical examination of the patient and doing investigations including blood investigations like CBC, inflammatory and infection marks, thyroid functions, ovarian functions, estrogen and progesterone and testosterone hormones levels and doing pelvic and abdominal ultrasound .

Causes of menstrual delay :

- polycystic ovarian syndrome 

- thyroid disfunction 

- pregnancy 

- stress

- severe weight loss 

- Exhaustion 

- Obesity
