Male patient, 27 years old, with sever pain in right iliac fossa. No fever. Clinical examination reveled acute appendicitis which is confirmed by ultrasonography. No leucocytosis. Is appendectomy is necessary?

Is appendectomy is necessary؟
well, most cases of appendicitis are treated surgically , very selected cases would respond to conservative treatment, mainly with antibiotics and the patients should be hospitalized, those are selected based on some criteria by physical exam and sonographic findings, so in general we can say yes , appendicitis should be treated with appendectomy.
diagnosis
by physical exam mainly, sometimes tests would help, such as CBC and US and it may be diagnosed with CT.
