My grandpa made a PSA test from about 5 months, results were: PSA total= 2244 ng/mL- PSA free: more than 50. And today he did another one: Tumor marker, PSA total :0.482 ng/mL. He is 87 years old and he is taking casodex tablets for 4 months and he took 2 zoladex injections. Bone metastases developed in various areas in the body.
I just need to know the difference between both tests (PSA from 5 months and the one conducted these days)

PSA test
it is a blood test in which the prostate-specific antigen is tested, which can indicate the
presence of cancer in the prostate
normal level of PSA test
zero-2.5 ng/ml
Through the results of the PSA examination, it was found that there is an improvement in
prostate cancer, but this does not mean a complete cure
advice
We recommend permanent follow-up to the oncologist and continue on the chemotherapy as planned
