Treatment of joint and neck pain:
Well, there are several health issues that can cause joint pain, so it's recommended to visit your health provider (GP) for further assessment and he might cosider refer you to a specialist doctor (Rheumatologist). One of the common problems is Rheumatoid arthrits, which is a long-term condition that causes pain, swelling and stiffness in the joints. This condition can be treated by taking some pain killers to ease your pain such as IBUPROFEN 600 mg twice a day. Physiotherapy is also recommended to improve the function of your joints. Further medicines such as Methotrexate can be prescribed. In this condition, there may be periods where symptoms become worse, known as flare-ups or flares and here seroids (Prednisilone) can be prescribed.
Diagnosis:
History taking and clinical examination to be done by your GP. Some tests can be done including Complete blood test to check for infection, ESR and CRP tests, RF and Anti-CCP tests to rule out rheumatoid disease. Uric acid test to rule out gout. Moreover, sample can be taken from the joint to be examined in the laboratory as well as an X-ray of the joints might be a choice.
