If you mean by large bowel a bowel obstruction its a mechanical obstruction and its caused by lesions that cause obstruction of hernia and its a disease that need to be treated surgeically you should consult a surgeon to look for the cause and determine the management plan
Investigations 
After proper physical exam, cbc should be done to look for infection, Abdomen X ray to look for signs of bowel obstruction, in addition to abdomen CT with oral and IV contrast to look for cause of obstruction, colonoscope should be done to exclude intra colonic lesions
