Whats the treatment 
Vaginal bleeding during the first trimester of pregnancy could indicate occurance of threatened abortion which will lead to sudden moderate amount of vaginal bleeding, the treatement should begin with the assessment of the cause and institution of Progestron pills to improve stability of pregnancy and consultation of obs for further assessment, IN cases of a more advanced pregnancy other causes of serious vaginal bleeding could happen and necissitate termination of pregnancy 
Investigations 
After proper physical exam, cbc should be done to look for anemia, abd US will be used to assess for the cause of vaginal bleeding and the location and status of the placenta
Causes 
Threatined pregnancy 
Placenta previa 
Abrubtion of placenta
