Treatment of vaginal infections:

• Vaginal infections are a common condition in women and occur due to excessive growth of bacteria that are naturally present in the vagina or due to contamination with bacteria from the urinary tract or from the anus, which makes the vagina less acidic than normal and therefore harmful bacteria can grow result in vaginal secretions, also the use of detergents and vaginal washes frequently increases the risk of infection because it changes the balance of bacteria in the vagina.  the treatment begins with maintaining the dryness of the vagina and not excessive use of detergents, vaginal washes, or vaginal perfumes, changing pads constantly, wearing cotton clothes, and wiping from front to back.  use antibiotics in case the cause is bacteria or trichomoniasis, such as Flagyl 500 mg three times a day for five days and clindamycin cream twice a day on the vagina, and if the cause is a fungal infection

Diagnosis:

• Diagnosis depends on the medical history and clinical examination of the patient and running some tests such as CBC blood test, vaginal acidity test, taking a sample of secretions, and examining it under a microscope to identify the cause

Causes of vaginal infections:

•  bacterial infection 
• fungal infection
• Trichomoniasis vaginalis

Symptoms of vaginal infections:

• Irritation and itching in the vagina
• Pain during urination
• Pain during intercourse 
• vaginal secretions
