How to stop periods after eight days

What is the treatment 
The normal period is from 5-10 days and in cases of massive bleeding or perisistence beyond 10 days you can use Diosmin  tab twice daily to reduce the amount of flow in addition to the use of combined contraceptive pills once daily till the next period. in cases where thickend endometrium found it can be treated surgically. consult gynecologist for further follow up.
Investigations 
After proper physical exam, cbc should be done to look for anemia, hormonal profile of FSH, LH ,Progestron, Estrogen, in addition to thyroid function tests, TSH, T4, Transvaginal US should be done to look for thick endometrium, fibroids or ovarian cysts.
