My mother has been experiencing these spots too all over her body for the past month. On visiting the dermatologist, she diagnosed it as an allergy reaction due to a medication. She prescribed her an ointment and a steroid pill. My mother hasn’t been taking her medication could it be that she passed the boils to me.

Treatment of boils:
A boil is a painful, pus-filled bump that forms under your skin when bacteria infect and inflame one or more of your hair follicles. A carbuncle is a cluster of boils that form a connected area of infection under the skin.
You can generally treat small boils at home by applying warm compresses to relieve pain and promote natural drainage. For larger boils and carbuncles, treatment may include nncision and drainage and antibiotics. It's also recommended to apply a warm  compress to the affected area several times a day, for about 10 minutes each time, never squeeze or lance a boil yourself as this can spread the infection.

Risk factors:

  • Close contact with a person who has a staph infection.
  • Diabetes.
  • Other skin conditions such as acne and eczema
  • Compromised immunity.
